Security is not a goal, it is a process, Security is not a product, it is a mindset.

Security is a never ending task. If you think you are secure... just wait a few minutes until the next sploit is released.

Security is like breathing - If you stop, you die...  (Pezzo - May 2001)

FireFox Security Plugins

keyFirefox Security plugins to try

With scripts causing all kinds of grief these days... I like to use "NoScript' and "Permit Cookies".  Block all scripts unless I want to run them and a cookie management tool that allows for cookies to be used, but never saved.

No Script - Just search for the FireFox plugin under "Tools - Add-ons"

Permit Cookies - http://gorgias.de/mfe/

Password Management Tool

E-mail Print PDF

SuperGenPass

is a clever Bookmarklet that you add to Firefox and other browsers to manage your passwords for all your web pages.  It uses a Java script to take a master password you enter and creates a random password (v1Rlmno8a9T) based on the domain you are at and populates the password field for you.

What I like about this tool is that your password is not stored anywhere and is different and unique for every website you visit, yet you only have to remember your master password!

Give it a try !!!

Very nice option for those of us that have iDevices, Android or BlackBerry... For those that use some other cell phone... You can use YubiKey or a USB thumb drive and the Sesame option.
